Beleaf was present at the Western Foodservice Show, showcasing its vegan samples on August 6-8, 2023. The three-day event was not just an opportunity for Beleaf to present its innovative vegan seafood and meat alternatives but also to connect with its existing customers.

Sampling is believing, and at the event, Beleaf’s samples spoke for themselves. The feedback was overwhelming. George Saffon, after savoring the plant-based shrimp, exclaimed, “I can’t believe it’s not shrimp!” His sentiments were mirrored by many others. James Trimmer from ARMC lauded the Chick’n Bites saying, “They have a nice texture, better than Beyond and Newwave.”
Juan Ramos was pleasantly surprised, and shouted, “This is surprisingly good!” But perhaps, the most heartening response was a sample taster who, unable to contain his excitement, turned an ambassador on the spot, urging everyone around, “Try it, try it, try it!”

The buzz didn’t stop at the expo. Beleaf’s vegan shrimp found its way onto the screens of many Californians, featured on KTLA Morning News. A segment dedicated to innovations in the food industry turned the spotlight on Beleaf's team member, Irma, underscoring its pioneering role in the vegan meatless space.
